Denial: Review

Denial by Jon Raymond is a interesting variation on a post-apocalyptic novel. The apocalypse (in this case, global warming) has already wreaked havoc on the planet, but society has adapted. Mexico, where much of the book takes place, has become hotter and dustier, but life goes on. The protagonist is a journalist with a hot tip about an oligarch who escaped Nuremberg-like trials for his responsibility and has been on the run ever since. The novel centers on this hunt and the protagonist's relationships.

Denial paints an interesting picture of a near-future Earth and its technology, overlaid with some mild drama. Intriguing in many ways, certainly worth a read for a different take on the genre.
