Review of xstroke for Linux on the iPaq

Summary

xstroke is an elegant but lockup-prone application that provides handwriting entry and recognition. Its documentation and handwriting recognition are superb. Unfortunately on my Familiar 0.5/iPaq 3765 system, xstroke sometimes (1 in 500 strokes, very approximately), becomes stuck in stroke mode, requiring a reboot to recover. I know use xkbd instead of xstroke.
