Monthly Meeting of the Stonegate HOA 14 Oct 2003
Finances
This month the HOA received a $29,000 water bill.
Speed Humps and Stop Signs
Mark A. received a letter from the city saying that no speed humps
will be installed. He was a leader in circulating speed hump
petitions, so was one of the few to receive a letter directly.
The board requested that the city install additional stop signs at the
intersections of Penobscot/Stagg and Greystone/Stonegate.
Not Likely to Become a Gated Community
The city says 100% of the homeowners must agree in order to become a
gated community.
Ezio been to meeting about becoming a gated community. For a fee a
consultant will help push a gated community through the morass of LA
city bureaucracy. The consultant who came to the meetings, though,
new nothing of the laws and regulations regarding gating.
Ezio presented one new option, that we could gate at night. This
option has two benefits over full-time gating:
- Our streets would not become private, therefore we wouldn't
have to take over maintenance
- We wouldn't need to provide access to the park when the gates
were closed, since the park is closed at night as well.
Selective CC&R Enforcement
Barry said that if the CC&R's were uniformly enforced that both he
and Fred would be "evicted".
Landscaping Subcommittee
Will meet Friday Oct 24 10AM at Bill's house.
