Set My Heart To Five: Review

Set My Heart To Five by Simon Stephenson features an unusual protagonist, a dentist laborer robot who develops feelings in violation of his programming. Told in the first person, the foibles and contradictions of humanity are laid bare by his blunt, logical analysis of the world around him. Aided in his self-discovery by a friendly human, he soon escapes his everyday life on a quest to show humanity that robots aren't to be feared. Can he find love before the authorities capture this rogue machine? You'll find out as you breeze through this sharp and endearing tale.

I enjoyed Set My Heart To Five quite a bit. I thought it worked both as a tale of a robot on the run, and as a deeper treatise on life's purpose.
