I enjoyed The Circle, a novel by Dave Eggers about a young woman who is hired by a large, high-tech company in a near future world. The company is a mashup of several big tech companies of today, with charismatic leaders and a firm belief that its mission and reach into the personal lives of almost all people is inherently good and beneficial. As the protagonist gains influence at the company, she increasingly buys in to that worldview, despite reluctance from her friends and family. While the story is slightly hyperbolic, the questions it raises are relevant today. The plot moves at a good pace and has plenty of highs, lows, and intertwined characters
