Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow: Review
Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin follows the lives of 3 friends from childhood through their adult life. Most of the book is dominated by their journey building a company that makes video games, starting with their collaboration in college. The characters experience both exhilarating highs as well as dramatic lows throughout the novel on all fronts, professional and personal. The author deftly and convincingly captures the interplay of their personal lives, the process of making games, and the reality of managing a profitable business.
I enjoyed this book significantly. I thought much of the reality of software development was covered, and any novel with a page of BASIC code automatically earns an extra star from me.
Rating:
- Recommend? Yes
- Buy as a gift? Yes, especially to a coder or video gamer
