Trigger Mortis: Review
Trigger Mortis by Anthony Horowitz is his first James Bond novel, but is set in the middle of the James Bond franchise. Built around a partial chapter from Ian Fleming, the story hits many Bond cliches, from insane villains to high speed chases. Fast-paced and full of detail and insights into Bond's mind you wont' find in the movies, you'll finish this book quickly.
Trigger warning: These are now labeled as 'historical fiction', being set in the fifties. Be ready for plenty of smoking and other behaviors that wouldn't be commonplace today.
Trigger Mortis is a new classic Bond novel featuring 007 in his prime. Mr. Horowitz has made a fine addition to the expanded Fleming oeuvre.
