Pocket PC 2002 Features

Overview

To compete effectively with Pocket PC 2002, Linux will have to match its features. This document describes its features so that we can develop applications to match.

Overall Entry

Keyboard: QWERTY on-screen keyboard for typing. List of words from dictionary to autocomplete shown above the keyboard.

In any list or text field, click and hold to get right-click menu. Text fields allow cut-and-paste. Tasks allow duplication. Contacts allow email to be sent.

Today

Today summarizes information from several other applications, giving an overview of the day's activities.

Can draw on notes

Clicking 'voice memo' button records an audio note.

List of files. 3 columns: name, date, size.

Plays WMA, other proprietary formats, maybe MP3?

Pocket Word

More like 'Pocket Write'.

Pocket Excel

Subset of excel functions, but working fill down.
